The Big Train

A promotional documentary produced by the New York Central Railroad (NYC) in the mid to late1950's depicting how integral the railroad companies were to the growth and economy of the United States. There is an introduction to the film by the President of the New York Central Railroad, who reappears at the end of the film to make the case for deregulation of the transport industry.

The film is introduced by Alfred E. Perlman who was president of the NYC from 1954, confirming the movie would have been made in the mid/late 50's.
